2 Years of Practice

Attorney

Attorney Billy Snow is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Civil Litigation Section.

Attorney Billy Snow was born and raised in Eastern Pennsylvania. After attending the University of Pittsburgh as an undergraduate student, Billy attended Law School at Pitt as well, graduating in 2022. Billy was accepted into the accelerated law program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and was able to complete his entire undergraduate & J.D. in a total of 5 years.

While at Pitt Law, Billy earned the Civil Litigation Certificate, which focused his coursework on the life of a lawsuit and trial. In a the classes for this certificate, Craig was one of his professors. Craig decided that Billy would be a good addition to the team here at Frischman & Rizza, so he offered Billy a job, as he felt Billy would be a good fit to for the firm.

In his final year of school, Billy clerked for the Honorable J. Philip Ignelzi, a civil trial court judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Civil Division. Clerking provided Billy with the opportunity to encounter the realities of the courtroom and observe the practice of law as it plays out in actual court cases.

After graduation and taking the bar, Billy began immediately to work for the firm. Under Craig and Bernie’s mentorship, Billy continues to grow daily as a lawyer. Due to the small family-style approach of Frischman and Rizza’s practice, Billy enjoys opportunities to take part in lawsuits that he would likely not otherwise be exposed to, if he was working at a larger firm, at this point in his career.

As a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Civil Litigation Section, Billy connects with other professionals to learn more about the practice of law. Billy recognizes that as a young lawyer, he can learn things from scratch- “the hard way”- or he can seek out the advice and counsel of experienced attorneys around him, learning the best way to practice law and provide legal counsel to his clients.

Outside of work, Billy is an active member of the Catholic Church and participates in activities with St. Paul Cathedral, the Pittsburgh Oratory, and the Knights of Columbus. Billy also holds deep interests in music and cooking. Billy has played the piano since before he can remember, so playing the piano and music is very much like a second language to

Billy recognizes that often the most effective kind of leadership, both in law and in life, takes place through providing a good example and being a role model of how to carry on your life. At the end of the day, Billy knows the most effective way for him to advocate for his clients is by sticking true to his word and work ethic, and adhering to a strong sense of justice.
